Hibiscus Mahajad review: the one nobody can place

28 Jul 20265 min readBy Vapor Archive

Rum, pepper and hibiscus. The most unusual bottle in Volume 01.

Hibiscus Mahajad is the one bottle here that does not resemble anything else on the shelf.

The notes

Rum and pink pepper at the top, hibiscus and tuberose in the heart, sandalwood, patchouli and musk at the base. Boozy, floral and slightly sharp.

People do not ask what you are wearing. They ask what that is, which is a different and better question.

Performance

Eight hours with strong sillage. This is not a subtle fragrance and it is not meant for a small office.

Who it suits

Evenings, weddings, anyone tired of sweet fragrance and willing to wear something with an edge.

Verdict

Our most interesting bottle and the one we most strongly suggest testing at 1ml first.
