Where to apply oil so it lasts through traffic
Pulse points, clothing, hair, and the three places people apply oil for no reason.
Application matters more than most people think, and the default habit is the least effective one available.
Your wrists are the worst place you could have chosen. You wash them ten times a day.
Better points
Behind the neck, the base of the throat, behind the ears, and the inner elbow. All warm, all protected, none of them washed at every tap.
Use your clothes
Oil on the collar or scarf lasts far longer than oil on skin, and it is what people notice when you greet them. Test on a hidden seam first, since oils can mark light fabric.
Do not rub
Rubbing warms and breaks the top notes. Press and let it sit. And for anyone spending two hours in traffic with the air conditioning on, apply before you leave the house, not on arrival.
